Recently, some paper companies have continuously raised the price of paper, and the prices of household paper and cultural paper are rising. This is not a sudden price adjustment by paper companies, but a whole year of fermentation.
The pulp used by my country's paper companies is mainly wood pulp, non-wood pulp and waste paper pulp, as well as bamboo pulp and bagasse pulp. The price increase of paper products stems from the increase in the price of pulp raw materials.

Since China issued a ban on the entry of foreign waste in 2017, the amount of imported waste paper has been decreasing year by year. In 2016, my country's imported waste paper accounted for 35% of domestic waste paper consumption. From January to October 2020, the import volume was only more than 5 million tons. The lack of raw materials has driven up the price of domestic waste paper.

During this period, the country also implemented new environmental protection mechanisms, some outdated production capacity was cleaned up, and companies that did not meet environmental protection standards were shut down, all of which led to further price increases for pulp.
After the price of toilet paper has risen for three consecutive times, many people will inevitably ask, do you want to start hoarding tissues? According to media analysis, this price increase is not nationwide. In many places, the price of tissues has not increased, and some products are still on sale. This is due to the relative lag in the response from raw materials to production to the end market. In addition, raw materials are adjusted in tons, so the price increase of finished paper in retail will not be significant.

For paper companies, some large paper mills have begun to build their own waste paper recycling stations or cooperate with waste paper recycling companies, and some companies are still building factories overseas, all working hard for more raw materials. After the peak of production in 2020, the new year will usher in a harvest period. In the case of good demand, there will be more materials and products output.

Therefore, in 2020, when the price of paper is most likely to rise, there will be no large-scale and large price increases, so in 2021, when the production capacity is higher, the phenomenon of "paper is expensive" will not appear. There is no need to stock paper towels under market regulation. daily supplies.
